Written by: V. Wolf

Fort Collins police have announced the arrest of an unusual murder suspect in Pueblo on Tuesday. Adrian Pacheco, a 31-year-old man with distinctive face tattoos, was apprehended by officers from the Pueblo Police Department after a brief foot chase just aft 1 p.m.

The arrest comes after a shooting in north Fort Collins earlier this month, which is believed to be gang related.

Pacheco was taken into custody on multiple warrants, including one for first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting at an apartment complex in Fort Collins. The suspect's arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies.

Fort Collins police had been actively searching for Pacheco since the shooting, warning the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous. The case has been labeled as a "gang-related shooting" by the Fort Collins Police Department, presumably due to Pacheco's alleged gang connections.

The victim's family, represented by attorney Galen Trine, disputes the notion that their loved one was involved in any gang-related activities. Trine stated, "I think there is a little frustration because gang-related is the word used, which sort of infers gang on gang. And I've been reassured by everyone I have spoken with that the victim was absolutely not in a gang or gang involved."

The arrest of Pacheco has been hailed by the Pueblo Police Department as a significant step in ensuring public safety.

Sgt. Ortega of the Pueblo Police Department expressed relief, stating, "If he's willing to kill somebody in Fort Collins, you know, he's a dangerous person. And I'm glad he's off the streets. He'll be in our facility at least for a little bit until he gets extradited back to Larimer County."

The bizarre face tattoos of Adrian Pacheco have captured public attention, with many speculating on their meaning and significance. The distinctive tattoos add to the unusual nature of the case, leaving both law enforcement and the public intrigued.
