Six in 10 Americans believe Joe Biden 'participated' in son Hunter's overseas business deals
A new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll has revealed that a majority of Americans believe President Joe Biden is personally involved in his son Hunter's questionable business deals.
An astounding 60% of respondents stated that they believed Biden had helped and participated in his son's business dealings, despite the White House's continued denials.
Breaking down the numbers, it's clear that this sentiment is not limited to one political party. While 81% of Republican voters believe Biden is implicated, a significant 39% of Democrats also share this belief.
The poll also revealed that Hunter Biden has a dismal ‘approval rating,’ with only 24% of respondents viewing him favorably and a whopping 55% holding an unfavorable view of the president's son. This is in stark contrast to former President Donald Trump, who scored a 30% "very favorable" rating in the same poll.
The allegations against President Biden stem from his son's abandoned laptop and congressional testimony from his former business partner, Devon Archer. According to Archer, the president was present at two dinner meetings at Washington, D.C.'s Cafe Milano, along with Hunter's business partners. Furthermore, a note from a Burisma executive thanking Hunter for introducing him to his father was found on the laptop.
In addition, Archer testified that President Biden "had coffee" with Chinese-backed BHR partners CEO Jonathan Li, where Hunter owned a 10% stake. These revelations have sparked concerns about the president's potential conflicts of interest and involvement in his son's business dealings.
The Biden family's business dealings have been under scrutiny since the first report about Hunter Biden's laptop emerged just one month before the 2020 election. Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy launched an impeachment inquiry, accusing the family of having a "culture of corruption."
Now, House Republicans are homing in on the family's bank records and conducting interviews with over a dozen individuals connected to the Biden family. House Oversight Chair James Comer has alleged that foreign actors funneled around $20 million into Biden family members' bank accounts through a complex web of shell companies.
While there is no direct evidence linking President Biden to these payments, text messages from Hunter Biden have revealed his frustrations with having to pay his father's bills.
In one message, Hunter tells a Chinese business associate that he is "sitting" with his father and discussing a payment that has not been fulfilled.

The House Republicans' impeachment inquiry is moving forward, with subpoenas issued for Hunter and James Biden, and interview requests sent to other individuals. The ultimate decision on whether to move forward with an impeachment vote will be left to the House.
