Seniors Have Stopped Eating at Cracker Barrel & Olive Garden — And it’s Not Clear When They’ll Come Back

It seems that nothing is safe from the woke agenda - not even the beloved Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden. As if the pandemic wasn't enough of a setback, these iconic American restaurants are now facing yet another challenge: LOSING THEIR OLDER CUSTOMERS.

According to the chains' top executives, retirees have been avoiding dining out at Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden since the pandemic hit. With rising inflation and fear of the coronavirus, it's no surprise that this demographic has been more cautious with their spending and health.

Darden Restaurants, the parent company of Olive Garden, admits that seniors are coming in less frequently and they would "love to see them come back." This sentiment was echoed by Cracker Barrel's chief financial officer, who noted a decline in the number of older customers from the previous quarter.

Olive Garden’s restaurants are hoping to lure customers in the coming weeks as it reintroduces its wildly popular Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion on Sept. 25 through Nov. 19 at a price of $13.99.Last year, Olive Garden staged the promotion at the first time since the pandemic at the same price — up from $10.99 in 2019. Adding unlimited meat toppings now costs an extra $4.99.

But it's not just these two restaurants facing this issue. Retirees from other chains have been hesitant to dine out as well. And let's not forget about the woke agenda creeping into these establishments.

Cracker Barrel caused quite a stir when they posted a photo of a rainbow-colored rocking chair in honor of Pride Month. The caption under the photograph read, “Everyone is always welcome at our table.” The comments section was filled with backlash and threats of boycotts.

And last year, customers accused Cracker Barrel of going "woke" when they introduced a plant-based sausage. One comment read, “Has the woke agenda infiltrated every aspect of our lives, including our dining choices?
