Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has launched her first TV ad of the campaign season, showcasing her endorsement from former President Donald Trump as she fights to jump from CD3 to CD4 to remain in Congress for another term.
The ad features a clip of Trump at a rally, where he praises Boebert, saying, "Lauren, you're gonna do fantastically in your district." Trump at the time unaware that she would soon be seat shopping to new district after realizing she would likely lose her current one.
The narrator in the ad emphasizes Trump's endorsement, describing Boebert as an “America-First warrior and a proven conservative.” The ad highlights her efforts to combat illegal immigration, defend the Second Amendment, and stand up against radical Democrats who seek to undermine the country.

The ad, supported by a $60,000 buy, will air for three weeks, with $40,000 dedicated to cable and $20,000 to streaming platforms. Boebert's decision to launch this ad is notable considering the challenging reelection bid she faces in the crowded GOP primary for Colorado's 4th Congressional District.
Currently representing Colorado's western 3rd Congressional District, Boebert chose to run in the state's eastern 4th Congressional District to avoid a competitive and costly House race. She described it as a fresh start for her family after finalizing her divorce. Fellow CD4 candidates have described this as a selfish reason to seek public office.
Boebert’s decision to jump from one congressional seat to another has also drawn criticism, with some labeling her as a carpetbagger.
Complicating matters further, Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), the current representative of the 4th District, recently announced his early resignation from Congress, triggering a special election to fill the remainder of his term.
While both the special election and the GOP primary for the full two-year term will take place on June 25, some Republicans believe that the candidate chosen for the special election could have an advantage over Boebert in the primary. Boebert has ruled out running in the special election due to the narrow majority held by House Republicans.
Boebert has also faced negative attention in recent months, including an incident where she was ejected from a "Beetlejuice" musical in Denver due to disruptive behavior. These incidents, coupled with her decision to seek a new House seat, have left some Republicans questioning why she should be considered for representation in the 4th District.
